Conscious Impact: Week Six

Meditation Resting in Open Awareness

This meditation guides you to rest in open awareness and experience a sense of openness in which all sensations arise and pass. Unlike previous meditations where you were an active observer, this one invites you to let go of that role and simply rest in awareness itself.

Please find a sitting position that is comfortable and where you can also keep your spine straight. If you can, I recommend that you sit on a chair or on a cushion with your hips higher than your knees. Balancing your spine freely without support will help you stay alert. However, if this position creates too much tension in your body, you can try to lie down or lean your back against a wall or chair. I also recommend turning off your devices and if needed, let other people know not to disturb you during the next twenty minutes.
